It has been alleged that a youth named Liton Hasan (22) died due to wrong treatment at Al-Hera Clinic in Singra, Natore.

When Liton Hasan was admitted to Al-Hera Clinic of the upazila for treatment on Saturday evening of September 2, he became physically sicker. Then on the morning of September 03 (Sunday), he was quickly referred to Sadar Hospital in Nator from Al-Hira Clinic. Litton was pronounced dead by doctors on duty there.

Relatives of deceased Liton Hasan said that he died due to wrong treatment at Al-Hera Clinic and may have been referred after he died there. The deceased Liton Hasan was suffering from hernia disease. The deceased Liton Hasan is the son of Zafar Ali of Mariya village of Baraigram upazila of Natore district.

According to Singra Thana police sources, after learning about the matter, the police visited the spot but did not find the patient and anyone from the patient’s family. No written complaint has been made in this incident so far. However, if a written complaint is received, the police have assured to take legal action subject to investigation.

It is also known that earlier also a pregnant woman named Pubali Begum, wife of auto driver Ariful Islam of Bara Chowgram village of the upazila died due to such wrong treatment.

Ariful Islam, the deceased’s husband, said that the clinic doctor took four bags of blood for his wife. At around 8:30 pm they suddenly asked his wife to take Rajshahi. When asked what happened at that time, it was said from that clinic. You have to go to Rajshahi to stop the bleeding. The clinic people arrange the ambulance themselves. And he complained that his wife died due to wrong treatment. Dr. Abdul Ahad, proprietor of Al-Hera Clinic, performed the surgery.
